I'm so sorry about Ben. I didn't know him, but I recognize his face from the news when he passed. I also had a close friend living far away who relapsed and died (alcohol, in his case), and I had no idea it was happening until he was gone. I have had/have those same feelings about not having been there for him, but at the same time I know that what was happening was bigger than anything I could have influenced.
